My name is Sarah. I am a 30 year old photographer born and raised in South Jersey. I am a fulltime photographer/graphic designer and parttime cosmetologist. I like to call myself a cosmetographer (The best of BOTH worlds) I have taken classes at the New York Institute of Photography, as well as Gloucester County Community College and Empire Beauty School. My goal is to capture memories for my clients, whether it be portraits or an event that can't be forgotten. Sessions with me are fun, relaxed, carefree and unique. Throughout my career, I have developed my own unique approach that mirrors my enthusiasm for life. Seeing every moment as a chance to create something extraordinary. I believe a well taken photograph has the power to retell a story more vividly than words ever could, reaching across time to profoundly move a person with a click of the camera. I believe in offering an honest service for an honest price and exceptional care. It is my hope that you will find our prices to be significantly less than other studios, yet our work far superior!
Fun facts about me...
*I love dogs (well all animals really, but dogs the most) I have 3 dogs who I spoil rotten and love dearly! Daisy is my mommies girl. She is a Beagle/Basset and is attached to my hip. When I go away on trips, I actually have a hard time sleeping since she is not with me.
*I love musical theatre. Before going to school for Accounting, music was my passion. It is still very much a big part of my life. My iPod is filled with everything from Country-Pop-Musicals-Rap-Rock...it has a little bit of everything. I enjoy driving with the windows down, wind in my hair, radio loud and sining EVERYTHING!
*I am a goof! My closest friends and family will be the first to tell you this. While I take my job, and my business very serious, I also feel life is too short to dwell on the bad things. My motto has and will alsway be to live your life with no regrets. I'm always telling jokes, making people laugh and helping my friends and family forget about what has them down.
*I love to travel-yet hardly get the chance to! (Please inquire if you are having a detination Wedding-I offer discounts!!) I have a list of places I want to see and visit and its my hope that I get the chance to mark each and every one off that list! My husband and I love to cruise, and we have decided to go on at least 1 cruise a year! Can you say Pina Coloda in a cute little coconut cup with an umbrella?! YUM
*I am a daughter-sister-mother and wife. I wouldn't trade being any of those in for anything!
*I love makeup :) I love shopping at Sephora and Ulta and Mac and the brands I love most are Too Faced, Urban Decay, Bare Minerals, Mac and Kat Von D. I am a sucker for a good cat eye! I love doing boudoir and pinup shoots and love the makeup they entail! I can't live without mascara and OCC lipstick!
*I love icecream! Not just any icecream...softserve vanilla icecream with rainbow jimmies! In the summer I like to go to Rita's at least once a week! Delicious yummy, smooth goodness!
*I love the smell of anything vanilla. Candles, lotions, body spray, cookies, you name it! Vanilla is the most soothing smell to me (even my dog gets washed with vanilla doggie shampoo)
*I love magazines! Girly and techy magazines that is :)
*I am an Apple girl, 100%! I would feel completely lost without my iPhone. I work on an iMac and Macbook Pro and I have an iPad for client in home ordering sessions. I can't even work my way around a PC anymore!
*I love putting together parties! If I wasn't a photographer I would probably be an event planner.
*I'm an open book. I believe that building a relationship with my clients is important. I want to be a friend you can turn to, even if its not photo related.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE? Romantic & Whimsical, Photo Journalistic. I also do planned and posed photos and take all of my clients suggestions and put a unique spin on them.
WHAT SORT OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? I primarily shoot with Nikon professional cameras and lenses. I also utilize on and off camera flash based on the specific situation.
WHAT IS NEEDED TO RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE OR PORTRAIT SESSION? I require a signed contract for portrait sessions and weddings. Weddings require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Portrait sessions require a $25 non-refundable deposit.
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT? I accept cash, check or credit card (visa/mc/discover) as well as PayPal and Google Checkout.
HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU BOOK PER YEAR? I book a limited number of weddings per year in order to devote as much time possible to perfecting your individual images. I do this so that I can provide high quality images, a shorter turn around time and so that each couple gets my un-divided attention.
HOW SOON WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
WEDDINGS: Album design and production is generally completed within 6-8 weeks, but can vary based on the time it takes for image selection by the client. Digital image file discs are delivered with the final album. If there is no album, the disc is delivered within 6 weeks from the event date.
PORTRAIT SESSIONS: Portrait sessions have a shorter turnaround time. Online galleries are posted within 2-3 weeks. Album design and products are finished in 2-4 weeks, but again vary based on the time it takes for image selection by the client. Digital image files are delivered with any final products.
WILL YOU RETOUCH ALL OF MY IMAGES? All images are checked and adjusted for color accuracy exposure and major blemishes. Images chosen for prints, albums and gallery wraps are further edited for minor skin flaws and general image blemishes to provide to you with the most absolutely gorgeous images possible. Tattoo's and scars [as well as similar issues] are not removed unless specifially requested and may incur additional fees for editing based on the extensiveness of removing the item.
WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW MY IMAGES ONLINE? For portrait sessions, we leave all galleries up for 30 days.
Weddings-if you would like an online gallery please send us a request. Wedding galleries will be viewable for 60 days.
WILL I GET MY WEDDING IMAGES ON A DISC? WILL THEY BE WATERMARKED? All of my wedding collections come with high resolution digital files in both color and black and white, as well a release for personal usage and printing. Your high resolution images will not have a watermark so that you are able to print at the photo lab of your choice. For the highest quality and color accurate prints, I recommend printing images through the studio. All images printed will have additional retouching.
DO I NEED TO PROVIDE A MEAL FOR MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER(S)? Yes please, this is very much appriciated as we will be with you for the entire day and will not have an oppurtunity to acquire food for ourselves without missing part of your wedding. Photographing a wedding can be quite exhausting and we work better when we are provided a meal to give us some energy for the second portion of the wedding. A fed photographer is a happy and energetic photographer :)
ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR TRAVEL? I love to travel and love it even more when the travel is to photograph a wedding! I offer very reasonable travel fees based on the location of your Wedding.
